Everything great about Sex and the City

Sex and the City is great. With five main characters — the four girls and the city itself, and a bunch of great guys, well, it’s pretty much perfect.

I love Charlotte. Here is why — everything about her is pretty much super cute, even when she’s mad. We all need a Charlotte in our lives, someone who loves people, gets anxious over little things and stick up for you when it really isn’t her cup of tea.

See, who doesn’t want someone like that on your side.

It’s probably no surprise that Samantha is my favorite girl, she is basically like my best friend, she makes flippant and inappropriate comments all the time, and when she’s hurt your heart breaks for her.

Miranda is great too, though she doesn’t have as many funny lines as Samantha, I think she is probably the most relatable character and she has some pretty special moments like at a bra fitting. And also, we both love Steves. Soul sisters right there.

But of course, the main attraction is Carrie Bradshaw, who is really the main character and who’s column directs the show. She’s championing single ladies, while also campaigning for the elusive The One.

And that’s where the story about Big comes into play. While it’s recently came to my attention that IRL Carrie and Big wouldn’t be together, you can’t help but cheer on these two, even though their relationship is pretty messed up.

Despite this, you know it’s going to work out. Big is on the very first episode of SATC, and begins his motif of saying things to Carrie from the backseat of a car. See:

And then there is all the break ups.

Yeah, don’t think about that for too long. On the other hand, you always have your friends.

So, if you just want to be with the one who makes you laugh, if you won’t settle for anything less than butterflies or if you just really like clothes, this show is totally for you. Okay, so it ended in 2004, but, to be honest, it’s pretty classic.
